Welcome! If you have been looking for information on astronomy, telescopes and how to find your way around the night sky, you have finally found the right place. The Cincinnati Astronomical Society (CAS) was chartered in 1911 with the purpose of educating the public in the wonders of the nights sky.

Located on the west side of Cincinnati Ohio, we offer the astronomically minded in the tri-state area something unique from most astronomy clubs. We own and operate our own headquarters which is equipped with several types of telescopes, a library and darkroom. Every month we bring you speakers to educate you on astronomical topics. The monthly meetings are open to the public.

CAS this year will be celebrating its 100th anniversary of educating those interested in astronomy in the Tri-State area. CAS over the years has purchased or constructed five observatories in Cleves, Ohio and Adams County, including its new headquarters. With these facilities and an active outreach program, the Society provides educational outreach opportunities for hundreds of members of the public and their families. As part of the 100th centennial, CAS has set a goal to raise a minimum of $10,000 through 100 donations of $100. The funds raised will provide for our long term financial security and fund the upkeep of our telescopes and buildings, and support our outreach activities.
