Welcome! If you have a casual or serious interest in astronomy, you’ve found a home. The Cincinnati Astronomical Society (CAS), chartered in 1911, is dedicated to educating the public about, well, the Universe.
Located in Cleves, Ohio, we offer the astronomically minded in the tri-state area something unique from most astronomy clubs. We own and operate our own headquarters, including four observatories equipped with research-quality telescopes. A fifth telescope resides at our dark-sky site in Adams County. Check our calendar for our latest events and activities. If you like what you see and want to be more involved, become a member today!
For over 100 years, CAS has been educating the public about astronomy. With the abovementioned facilities and an active outreach program, the Society provides numerous educational opportunities for its hundreds of members and the public at large. Like all not-for-profit organizations, our efforts are implemented by enthusiastic member volunteers, but sustained by membership fees and public donations. As part of the ongoing celebration of the CAS Centennial, become a member of the CAS 100. For more information please see our donation page, or to donate, press the Pay-Pal button on the right side of the page. The Cincinnati Astronomical Society is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, and your donations are tax deductible.
