The Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) team at the Goddard Space Flight Center has released an outstanding video detailing the lunar surface like never seen before. The LRO team released the video in celebration of the orbiter’s 1000^th day around the Moon. The LRO’s mission is to study and complete an extremely detailed atlas of the Moon’s features and resources necessary to construct a lunar outpost.
