We have finished the major part of constructing the new Cincinnati Astronomical Society’s Headquarters.
As with most non profit organizations, we found that we were going to be a bit short of funds to finish
out the construction completely. We needed to cut out what unnecessary items that we could. We have
done a lot with volunteer elbow grease and donations from the generous few. (Thank you very much again!)
We have painted the exterior and interior, installed carpet, and shuffled our books back into the library.
To finish out the headquarters building flooring we would like to put in tile in the high traffic areas,
but at the moment, alas, we do not have enough cash to finish the job. If you would like to help, we are
a 501(c)3 charitable organization and any donation that you make is tax deductible. If donating towards
our headquarters is not your thing, we always have several projects under way, or in the planning stages.
Among those items or projects needing funding are:

External maintenance of the observatory buildings.
Modification of the 27" telescope to fit it’s new mount.

But if you really want something with your name on it, (or some one else) you can buy a brick.
For the low price of $50 you can have 3 lines of 18 characters on a 4" x 8" brick.

Time is running out! The order will be placed at August's meeting. For those of you who have
allready placed an order, thank you for waiting. If we do not meet the minimum order, refunds
will be issued.
